New Prestigious Ferry Project for BLÜCHER
MS Viking Grace – an example of a Viking Line ferry
BLÜCHER® EuroPipe were chosen for a ferry newbuild project in China for the Finnish ferry operator Viking Line.
The Finnish ferry operator Viking Line is building a new 2,800 pax ferry at Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry Co. Ltd. In close cooperation with our Chinese agent Tecway International (Marine) Ltd, BLÜCHER Marine has won the contract for BLÜCHER® EuroPipe pipes and fittings for all black- and grey-water requirements plus for many other applications onboard.
The project comprises more than 15 km of pipes and thousands of fittings and other accessories – all in acid-resistant stainless steel grade AISI 316L.

This project started almost two years ago, and was secured through close and regular contact to all the parties involved. We have had several meetings with the owner, with the appointed ship designer (Deltamarin Ltd.), and with the shipyard’s technical department.
